Russia: Beer, beer-like beverages see sales drop in January-September

Russia’s sales of beer and beer-like beverages saw a decline of 4.2% in January-September this year, the Federal Service for Alcohol Market Regulation reported on October 25.

Total volume sold during the reporting period amounted to 55.74 mln hl.

Sales of beer alone dropped by 4.3% in January-September as compared to the same period last year, totalling 49.22 mln hl. Beer-like beverages’ sales fell by 4% to 6.53 mln hl.

At the same time sales of strong alcohol saw a 3.5% increase, it is reported.
